Thanks Ed.  That is very good.

It occurs to me that we can add FLEXlm as another application which is working happily here, since MATLAB uses it as its license manager.    We should be clear, though that this is the end user side of FLEXlm, not the developer side.

I have FLEXlm for Sparc and for Windows, but not for Linux.  I'll see if I can get a demo kit for Linux and check the full package.
