In the root directory of the mounted ISO image, there's a file called .discinfo.

That file contains the following information:

     Disc Set serial number
     Distribution Release Name
     Distribution Architecture
     Disc numbers in the distribution
     The "base" directory for the disc
     The RPM directory for the disc

So the minimum you'd need to do is to create a new ".distro" file with 
"distro_serial" and "distro_version" changed to their appropriate values.

However do note that if some of the package dependencies have changed from 3.08, 
there may be more work involved - you'll know if packages are missing 
post-install or if you get reports of failed dependencies.
