[brandz-discuss] can i setup the brandz network with dhcp?

I've a PC running on the office network which is kind of funky because you must make a dhcp request in order to the network give you an IP address and route your traffic. In other words, even if I try to use an IP in the same network as my main zone no traffic will be allowed by the network itself unless the ip was given by the dhcp server.

For example, my solaris box has a e1000g0 adapter using the ip 10.123.15.2 and the netmask 255.255.255.0, I know that IP 10.123.15.253 is free but if i set it as the ip for my brandz once I zlogin I have to network, even for the solaris box (10.123.15.2).

Can we setup the brandz network in some way that it requests a IP via dhcp for the brandz?

If I install virtual box all my VMs get an IP from the network correctly but I'd like to run my linux apps without the virtual box.
