I can be missing the issue completely, apologies if I do. IMHO making 
stability level part of the naming scheme is generally risky. 
Promotions/demotions happen and if they lead to lots of renaming, it 
would lead to problems on both the consumer and provider side: disrupt 
established system administration procedures and make the already 
difficult OS upgrades even more so. It is cleaner to make stability a 
distinct attribute (one recent example is DTrace).
