Aside from performance overhead, I think there is currently no kernel 
interface to translate devname into linkid. I guess I could add another 
dlmgmtd upcall and another DLS function just for that purpose... Seems 
kind of redundant, considering that dlmgmtd/kernel interfaces are 
private and will remain that way for a long time.
