I did this to limit the scope of changes to linkprop.c. There are too 
many consumers of dladm_datalink_id2info().

The rest of the questions, please take a look at the latest webrev I'm 
going to send out shortly, where we moved property handling from MAC to 
DLS, and see if they still apply.
