Perhaps - though it seems that close to 48 hours was given, which would
be enough to say "hold on, my schedule is full, and I think we should do
this no sooner than next week".
Also, it doesn't seem like any minds would change between now and next
week. All arguments had been made, positions had been taken clearly by
most people involved. I also understand the perception of urgency.
I guess this is just all an exercise in decisionmaking, a mechanism that
has been largely untested so far in the OpenSolaris community. That's
the big issue. In this case, Sun, as the copyright holder, could legally
push this through. But what if the community disagrees? And what exactly
is the "community" and who is the voice of the community? This has been
defined, but not really tested so far. This may be an important test.
