If nothing else, perhaps project that have flag days to announce  
should have a <project>-announce list for that sort of thing, rather  
than polluting the discuss list where they're easy to overlook?

(Perhaps there should also be a flagday-announce list that all  
projects could post to, but I don't know if that would be particularly  
beneficial to anyone...)
