Hi,

 I successfully installed CAM6.2.2 on Opensolaris, but I have problem to 
login to CAM. If I tried login as root there is error authentication 
failed. If I tried login as opensolaris user (aj88429) I could  to 
choose no role or root if I chose root and after that I can click to 
cammon array manager link, but there is a messages: User aj88429 is not 
allowed to access management software; log out and log in as a valid user.

Do you know what could be cause of that ?

Did you create the "storage" and "guest" user accounts before installation of CAM?

 I created storage account and now I can login successfully to the CAM.

explain why you can't login to the console as the user root. If you 
change root from a role to a user you should be able to login to the 
console.


To use another user account with CAM  you have to add the user and 
assign them a role from the application. Follow the procedure here --

I'm adding this to capture the entire thread on this subject.

Yes, CAM does come with two users pre-defined: storage and guest. If you 
want to use these accounts you must create a Solaris user account for 
them (e.g. useradd storage). CAM's User Management allows you to add 
access for any Solaris user account.
