[cifs-discuss] Cannot Connect to CIFS Server in Workgroup Mode from Mac OS X & Vista

If you are using workgroup mode you will have come across

CR 6706243 6591398 breaks workgroup mode; idmapd should not demand default_domain be set or discoverable

This bug is fixed in snv_92

There is a workaround for this.

svccfg -s idmap setprop config/default_domain = astring: any_string_will_do
svcadm refresh idmap

Remember to remove the workaround after you upgrade to snv_92 or higher.
