[databases-discuss] Oracle 10g on OpenSolaris (Solaris 5.11)

I tried 32 bit 10.1.0.3 on 2008.5 ( indiana )
the graphical installer from oracle depends on libXm.so.4 which is not in 3008.5, ( looks like moptif/CDE has been removed )
So I had to use the silent installer and -ignoreSysPrereqs as well.

After the install has completed, make.log etc has errors such as
ld: fatal: symbol `ntcontab' in file /export/home/ORACLE/SW/10g/lib//libn10.a(ntcontab.o): section [3] .data: size 0x60: symbol (address 0, size 0x70) lies outside of containing section
ld: fatal: File processing errors. No output written to /export/home/ORACLE/SW/10g/rdbms/lib/oracle

So looks like $ORACLE_HOME/bin/gennttab is having some problem with 2008.5
Not able to work around this, so suggest trying x86 64 bit oracle 10g.
I am downloading currently to evaluate, seesm you will have to run a silent install though, at least on indiana ( 2008.5 ) anyway.
