The articles linked to are all about Gnome and what Novell has done to
customize it for their desktop release, and how those customizations
make for a very polished, easy to use product.

There is no reason it can't be done for Solaris, though I would be
interested in knowing if Mono is going to be included in future
releases given that one of the items that the reviewers rave about is
Beagle and its integration into the system.
