After getting the network to work I discovered that smc is not working, or won't start correctly.  I have found this to be a problem once before on a server without a NIC.  Any suggestions on how to get the server started so the smc gui can connect to it ?

I have tried starting the server with /etc/init.d/init/wbem start and see three smcboot processes running but still get an error when trying to connect with the gui.
