  Thanks--I don't actually believe there is a tools conflict.

  The case proposes /usr/share/man/man1gnu as the path, with "1G" as the
  name of the section in the text.  That is, the pathnames proposed are
  all lower case.  (SGML source is not available for these third party
  manual pages.)
