[desktop-discuss] Branching JDS HEAD to create gnome-2-16 Branch

Hi,

JDS based on gnome-2.16 has been successfully delivered to Solaris Nevada
build_53. Expect it to appear in binary form, with the Solaris Express release
based on nevada_53, very shortly.

With this delivery, we going to branch HEAD (Trunk) and create a gnome-2-16
branch and move HEAD to gnome-2.17, to continue with JDS development.

The gnome-2-16 branch, will now be under stricter integration control, to ensure
that we don't destablise this release. All putbacks will need approval. Remember
that all putbacks to gnome-2-16 branch, will also need to go back to HEAD.
