I went ahead and compiled Compiz-0.2.0 on Solaris 10. You need the latest
Xrender for the Window decorater and Xcomposite. You'll also need the latest libsrvg since this affects cairo 1.2.4 as well.

You get water, fade, rotate, wobble and a lot of simple plugins. You can try to mix in the Beryl plugins for more features.

Not a lot of testing yet in various scenaries yet - just letting you know the compile was pretty straightforward for X testing of these features.
