I will certainly ask for 3DLabs to release their interest in _all_ of
the drivers that Sun has developed for their hardware.  I don't think
that will be hard to get.

It will still be, for better or worse, up to _Sun_ to release that
information.  I don't have sources for _any_ of the 3DLabs products.

But, then again, all along, Sun could _easily_ have open sourced the
code for ffb, afb, and ffb2.  I am not sure what Sun's excuse for
holding _those_ sources confidential is.
