[desktop-discuss] openoffice 2.0 network integration

I have just installed b47 under Parallels and its working great.  I even have 1280x800 resolution (my laptop has an ATI X1600 graphics card!).  

One problem I have encountered with Open Office is that I can't seems to save files to network shares (windows shares) opened with the Gnome network connections tool.

Other applications like gedit show these as options in the file save dialog but Open Office appears to only show the list of mounted disks.

Whats up here?  Any suggestions for either mounting the network shares to solaris mount points - can this be done, and if so what commands ?

Alternately why can't gnome do this (or the Network Connections tool...) ?
