Hi,
I'm new to Solaris though I've used NetBSD and FreeBSD up until recently. I'm using Solaris Express, which is based (I think) on Opensolaris, and want to know if I can install third party software developed for Solaris 10 on my system. Also, how can I install KDE-3.5.6 on Solaris Express from the NETBSD website? Do I use pkg_add or pkgadd to install the packages? Pkg_add is not available in Solaris, So I guess that if it is needed I would have to install it, if this is at all possible.
If you can provide details explanations, that would be very helpful. I'm trying to learn as much as I can, but looks like Solaris is not the same thing as NetBSD and FreeBSD.
Thanks in advance for your help.
