[desktop-discuss] GNOME 2.19.90 and GIMP 2.4.0

I got gimp 2.4.0-rc1 to build okay. I did have to add a patch (gnome-menus-05-iconv-solaris.diff) so that intltool-merge.in didn't try to run 'iconv --version', a command line parameter not supported by the Solaris iconv.

I tried to bump intltool a few weeks ago but it messed up the build. I haven't been able to find the root cause, though now I suspect that the intltool-merge.in stuff must be related.
