I'd like to propose the Desktop Community grant Core Contributor status to 
Ken Mays.

He's done notable work in porting and maintaining the open source desktop environments like GNOME and KDE on Solaris 8-10, 3D Gaming/Graphics/Visualization, desktop publishing, and full OpenGL 1.5-2.1 SDK support on Solaris x86 and SPARC platforms for over four years.
