I'd say that an OpenSolaris spec file maintainer shouldn't need to worry
about the manpage in SGML format. Instead the maintainer should just
work with the module maintainers to make sure the manpage and other
documentation is accurate and of good quality, in whatever format the
module uses.
It will likely be up to someone at Sun to actually deal with the SGML
conversion. Though if a spec-file maintainer wanted to help with this
also, it would (of course) be appreciated.
I'd prefer to OpenSolaris module maintainers to work more with the
projects directly, and do as little work as possible to meet
Sun-specific requirements.
I think, however, the OSR related questions have general value, not just
to Sun. So I think it makes sense to require the module maintainer to
collect that information and make sure the spec file has the right
information regarding this, etc.
