This probably isn't at all what you want... But I just thought I'd mention
that on my laptop, I have firefox and thuderbird installed into
dirs within my own $HOME directory on Red Hat Linux. That way, I can get updates
from mozilla.org without having to wait for Red Hat or whoever to update the package.
It just tells me whenever a new version is availible from mozilla.org and asks me to
restart the browser/email client whenever a new version has automagically been downloaded...
Not ideal but it does keep me using the latest browser from firefox. I'm sure this would
probably work on Solaris 10 also if you wanted to have the latest firefox browser or thunderbird email client.
