  Nope.  Rythmbox works out of the box with iPod, for me at least.
  Connect iPod, up pops Rythmbox.  Rather nice in fact.

  Gtkpod...  An application that has to have a seperate environmental setting 
  and having to fork off 'du' to find correct disk space doesn't endure one to
  it.
