[desktop-discuss] gnome-panel not showing or showing as blank

Hi, just wondering if anyone else has seen this? Might be an issue with my environment as well. Did a search but couldn't find any mention...

MacBook Pro, MacOS X 10.4.8, Parallels Beta RC1, Solaris Nevada B55b.
Logging in as root, my gnome-panel does not show on the screen. It's running, but there is no "bar" as it normally puts up. Before this release I also had a gnome-panel problem in which the bar would show but it was empty until I populated it.
