[desktop-discuss] little bug

I assume your system is Nevada or S10U2 or later.
The IM status window attached to apps should not appear in UTF-8
locales on JDS by default.
Are you using gdm instead of dtlogin? If yes, due to bug 6499655
(which has been fixed in the latest Nevada build, snv_56), the IM
status window appears.
The workaround is:
# diff /usr/share/xsessions/gnome.desktop.orig \
/usr/share/xsessions/gnome.desktop
5,6c5,6
< Exec=/usr/bin/ctrun -l child -i none /usr/dt/config/Xinitrc.jds
< TryExec=/usr/bin/ctrun -l child -i none /usr/dt/config/Xinitrc.jds
---
> Exec=/usr/bin/ctrun -l child -i none /usr/dt/config/Xsession.jds
> TryExec=/usr/bin/ctrun -l child -i none /usr/dt/config/Xsession.jds
# svcadm restart gdm
If you are using dtlogin, pls check if /usr/bin/iiim-properties
exists on your system. If it exists, run iiim-properties and
deselect "Display Input Method status" check box and press OK button.
Thanks,
Fuyuki
