Or we are living in the past to think that large complicated piles of
software can be rendered into a workable and stable state.  Maybe desktop
software like GNOME should be left to the Linux world and we should be
looking at KDE as an alternative.  Have some sort of backup plan for when
GNOME really gets out of control.  Other than CDE.
