I downloaded the final (i.e., non-beta) flashplayer 9 from the Adobe site:

It seems to be playing quite well (build 65).  However, I am still unable to play video on Foxnews.com.  This is the only site that I am having any problem, and I will be writing them to ask them to be Solaris-aware.
