[desktop-discuss] printers(4) support in Solaris Firefox build?

Hi everyone,

I'm working a ticket for a user running a repackaged version of the
Solaris contrib builds of Firefox 1.5.0.5.  He reports:

> Only 1 printer is shown in "Printers" dialog box (Postscript/Default).
> In Mozilla 1.7, this is populated with all the printers in my .printer
> files.  This makes it hard to work from a SunRay.

On a Linux machine using CUPS, the Print dialog displays my CUPS print
queue names, so some sort of printer queue naming is in there.  Is the
printers(4) method supported by Firefox in general, and specifically in
this contrib build?  If so, is there anything I should look for to
indicate why it's not working?  If not, is there a workaround I should
recommend?
