Hello,
This is all very interesting. I would love to see Beryl running on Solaris.
Any interest in starting a project? I sure would be up for it.
Anyway, here are a couple spec-files for compiz and compiz-settings.
There are a couple issues:
1) I had to point the source tarball URL to the pre-patched compiz
package posted on Erwann's blog as the patch won't apply to the
compiz-0.3.6 tarball available at the compiz web site.I haven't had time
to see what it would take to redo the patch for the 0.3.6 package.
2) I also had to point the source tarball URL for the compiz-settings
package to the one posted on Erwann's blog, the download link for the
compiz-settings package at the compiz web site seems to be broken (at
least it was last night and this morning). I haven't be able to find
another source.
Other than that the specs have worked fine for me.I was reluctant to
commit them to the SFE repository because of all the X hacking involved
to get them to build and the above two issues. So I thought I'd post
them here for now.
