Yep. Sounds like a really cool desktop project. Maybe it should include 
Beryl, Erwann' s compriz work,  and also maybe artwork etc.
The OpenSolaris "Eye Candy" project.....

Thanks. I will give them a try. I have just about finished upgrading my 
machine to snv_59, so I will use the compriz packages and see if I can 
get them to work with Xfce.
