<chuckle> Quite a few. The outline of a repeat-by procedure for me
would be something like this:

1. Start Firefox.
2. Firefox loads my home page, which is a local file with
plain old static HTML with links to my most-visited sites.
3. Open up tabs to:
	http://slashdot.org/
	http://www.techdirt.com/
	http://boingboing.net/
	http://www.sourceforge.net/
	http://freshmeat.net/
	etc.
4. Browse through content on tabs, closing them as I'm done.
5. Leave Firefox with one open tab (my home page).
6. Iconify.
7. Run ps or top. Expect to see firefox process sleeping; sometimes
it is. Sometimes it's chewing CPU.

I'm guessing that there is something in step 3 which is triggering this
problem, and as I think you're suggesting, it could well be something
on one (or more) of the sites that I'm visiting. So I think I'll need
to do some careful tracking in order to narrow it down.
