[desktop-discuss] Sun Type 7 Keyboard on non-hardware

I know this is not a hardware discussion group, but I wonder if anyone using JDS has tried a Sun Type 7 keyboard in a non Sun workstation. The reason is I want to upgrade my aging U10 running OpenSolaris and thought about getting a new AMD workstation. 

I know I can get a Sun Ultra 20/40, but I thought I could get a higher spec. machine for the same money, but I do not want to lose the Sun Type keyboard.
