Typically all C++ has to be compiled by the same compiler (either
g++ or Sun CC), because not just mangling, but virtual functions and
a few other things work differently with the different compilers.
Maybe one day the world will be a better place, but for now it's not,
and backwards compatibility seems to (and IMO should) rule over fixing
this in a way that isn't.
