I have a similiar issue, I just made a liveCD based on Solaris 55b and use jds as its default wm, the first startup process is very slow for several minutes. but the second login process after i just quiting gnome to login stage will be faster than the first login process.

is this also because these startig process related to 1001.swupnot and 1099.br?
