I'm not sure if this is the correct forum for this, but are there any
guidlines posted somewhere?

Hello!
Don't be. I know how busy you are.
Basically its desktop. I'd like to be able to contribute something to this
wonderful enterprise we've got here. I am hoping that by the time of either
the next originally scheduled meeting for Tuseday 30 October, or the date in
November to be able to mention that I am then working my across the strange
environment that SUN Solaris is.
For example my current Linux system is a Dell Optiplex GX110 machine. He
using the Intel 810 style chipset. I would be interested in knowing what is
considered to be a good sized fixed disk drive for one of that style. For
example let's say I decided to start building with, and working with the
basic Open Solaris environment via SUN Solaris 10 (any build version from
there.) what disk size would leave enough room for the OS and even for
building Open Solaris from the source code.
(Strange to those individuals who've just discovered it that is. Not to us
who use a similar one that is.)
