Having a lot of my data on ext3 (removable drives), I can mount and unmount the file systems.
So far so good. Until now, I have added a lot of scripts that I call for mounting/unmounting those partitions. Cumbersome.
When I add a removable drive with a 'known' file system, the automounter chips in. Not so with ext3, NTFS.
Is there a chance to add ext2fs, ntfs to the 'known' file systems, to be mounted automatically ?
No, vfstab is no good solution. I run a hub inbetween, and the controller (cN) moves with the plug on the hub.
I'd very much wish for an applet that allows to edit the known file systems; with the auto-mounter mounting any known system for me. Inclusive a read-only/write choice.
