By defualt iiim-panel should be used in JDS instead of the attached window.
Launch iiim-properties and select either of the following at
"Input Method status and switcher placement" choice:
"Use Input Method Swicher application" - iiim-panel will be used
"None" - neither iiim-panel nor attached window will be used
"Follow desktop default" - iiim-panel for JDS, attached window for CDE
And click Apply/OK button, then the attached window should go away
when applications get input focus.
