[desktop-discuss] Compiling Mono under snv_7x?

Some time ago, when I ran snv_65, I could untar and compile Mono 1.2.4 just fine. Now with snv_72 it just fails horribly as soon it's supposed to continue building with its bootstrapped tools. Does anyone have a clue as to why this is actually happening? I can't be the only one trying to build this.
