FWIW, this accidental switch happens to me at least 5 times a day.  Perhaps it is due to my poor typing skills, but it is extremely annoying.  I can't imagine a need to have Latin mode enabled, especially not on a regular basis where I would need a hotkey.  Would it be possible to have the hotkey disabled by default?  I've been working around it with the magic keystrokes to disable it, knowing about Latin mode from a previous incident, but it would be really nice to not have to deal with it.
