Xft text will look better (antialiased) but is slower on Sun Rays than
traditional X text, in part because Sun Ray optimized their implementation
and protocol around traditional monochrome/non-anti-aliased X text before
Xft was developed. Whether the performance difference is noticable enough
to be worth the degraded appearance is something you'll have to test and
judge for yourself.
