I expect Solaris will continue to ship the older libraries so that any
programs people have built using them will continue to work reasonably.
However, new programs will likely migrate to the new interfaces.  Users
should be encouraged to migrate to the new interfaces if they can.

We may opt to EOL the old interfaces at some future point, if we no
longer want to support them.
