According to the sourceforge site status page:

"In support of improved security, all SourceForge.net user passwords
 have been expired and must be changed upon next login. CVS, Subversion
 and Shell users will need to login to the site to change their password
 before they will be able to access these services."

So before you can commit to SFE, you will need to go to
https://sourceforge.net/account/login.php and log in.
You will be asked to change your password.  After you
change your password you will be able to commit with
you new password.
