similar story. Only a handle will build, many key dependencies won't build. Many
of those available in the bulk build at
http://public.enst.fr/pkgsrc/packages/SunOS-5.10/i386/pkgsrc-essentiel-2007Q4n0/
I have been unable to build with a recent cvs on pkgsrc (either with Sun studio
express or gcc). It must come down to differences between the
solaris10/indiana/Opensol 2008.05 versions. A shame as pkgsrc is officially
supported for solaris - would be great to see it supported for Opensolaris,
especially as complied pkgsrc packages can be turned into SVR4 packages.
FYI:
Some pkgsrc packages was compiled in natif mode on OpenSolaris with a mix of
Studio12 and gcc.
For the bootstrap:
http://public.enst.fr/pkgsrc/packages/bootstrap-pkgsrc/bootstrap-pkgsrc-SunOS-5.
11-i386-20080328.tar
For few packages:
http://public.enst.fr/pkgsrc/packages/SunOS-5.11/i386/pkgsrc-essentiel-2007Q4n1/
That's a first try, for about 420 packages.
Based on 2007Q4.
That's a hard and long work.
Because of:
- S11 change. Xorg, gnome, is almost well integrated in S11. pkgsrc don't
take care of thoses changes and I write some builtin.mk, x11-links, Mesa,...
- S11 use different tool . Example: libintl msgfmt etc... That's a nightmare
for some packages.
- problem with libtool if you choose SunStudio. Some packages want only gcc.
- etc...
A+
Gilles
