[desktop-discuss] Can't invoke Firefox 3.5.4 from Thunderbird - Solaris 10

Using Solaris 10 u3 for sparc, with Thunderbird 2.0.0.23 protocol-handler prefs for ftp/http/https set to /opt/sfw/lib/firefox/firefox, when I click on a http link in a Tbird email message, I get this:

Firefox 3.5.4 installed.  LD_LIBRARY_PATH not set.
