Currently they are provided for version 5.8.4. After reading PSARC
2009/315, I see that Perl 5.10 is binary-incompatible with 5.8, so
the Desktop team will likely need to rebuild these modules after 5.10
is integrated into Solaris. Beyond that, I do not expect there is more
that would need to be done, or am I missing something?
Do we know what build Perl 5.10 will be integrated so that we can
coordinate this? Normally we rebuild the Desktop stack on top of
the latest build - 2. But in this case, it might make sense for the
Desktop team to make plans to rebuild these modules in the same
build that Perl 5.10 will be introduced.
I have sent an email to John Sonnenschein, who is listed as the owner
for PSARC 2009/315, with these questions so that we can coordinate with
them.
