Hello,
Reading your answer, it reminded me that when running the usbdump.sh script
of belenix (http://www.genunix.org/distributions/belenix_site)
it identifies 2 USB devices ;
It says:
Select the device you wish to install to from following list:
1 :  /dev/rdsk/c4t0d0p0  2.0 GB  SanDisk  U3 Cruzer Micro  2.17  USB

2 :  /dev/rdsk/c4t0d1p0  6.0 MB  SanDisk  U3 Cruzer Micro  2.17  USB

The second ,as you can see, is 6.0 MB in size and it is the
CD Reader/Writer. (even that it doesn't mention that it is a DVD device).
A look at the script shows that it uses calling rmformat to detect USB devices.
Be careful not to chooses it;

Regards,
Rami Rosen
