[driver-discuss] Missing ioctls in the cmdk driver

Howdy,

I recently tried to get smartmontools up and running on an x86 Solaris 10 
host, and bumped into the issue outlined in this thread:

Is there a reason the x86 and X64 cmdk driver doesn't support the same 
ioctls that are available in the SPARC driver? What would be
required to unify the drivers so the ioctls are available on x86
and X64 platforms?
