The tree is normally updated via cron job [unless collisions occur] once a day approximately 1:30pm pacific time. Generally e-mail notification the days resync will not be sent to the alias. Generally like tools tend to be kept in a common directory to keep down usr/src/cmd pollution. examples include: usr/src/cmd/ldap/* all the ldap tools both the ldap* and the native ldap ones usr/src/cmd/fs.d all the file system tools - automounter/fsck etc... usr/src/cmd/svc all smf stuff usr/src/imdap all winchester idmapping stuff etc... I think we should move nsadm/nscfg to a common subdirectory. so it will be easier to all the other tools later, like the daemon and the nsutil if they are not one in the same thing. I'de like to propose either usr/src/cmd/nss or usr/src/cmd/ns I would also like to have nscd consider moving into that subdir at the duckwater putback... I've leave nscd alone for now. It would mess up nightly resyncs too much. Comments? Doug.
