Is there any thought towards leveraging some of the DMTF CIM capabilities for part of the sensor architecture? Of course the CIM stuff is already used by the management console.  It would seem to be reasonable to include the sensors in the CIM system model and then have sensor events handled by the CIM providers.  That way the management console could also provide an integrated view into the hardware and sensor status in the system too.  Policies for what to do with the sensor data could also be included in the CIM model.
